I wrote a post one day and asked people if they thought God wanted us to pursue happiness. Many people quoted the well-known scripture in ……that says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you.” I actually love that scripture as it reminds me that when we look to God for help before we look to anything or anyone else, the results can be miraculous. However, I also do believe that God does want us to pursue happiness. Not as our main source but as an ad on to our relationship with Him.
There are desires and passions that he put in us. Maybe you love to create music, write, dance, sing or maybe you have a passion for plants, kids, movies, etc. whatever it is that makes you light up. I believe when we pursue those things, it brings us a sense of happiness and joy that nothing else can. It doesn’t have to be about making money or becoming famous or super successful at it. There is something beautiful about doing something simply because you love to do it. What makes you happy?
