What is the meaning of Freedom? Does it mean you can come and go as you please? Does it mean nobody owns you or that you have rights? Would you say that today you’re living in Freedom or bondage? There are many ways we can be in bondage. We can be in an abusive relationship. We can be stuck in a job we want out of. Maybe we feel like we’re a slave to our bills piling up or addicted to drugs or alcohol. We can even be in jail or even homeless. Or maybe there’s a situation in your life that you have no control over.
Many things can cause us to feel as if our Freedom has been taken from us. But what if I told you that no matter what your situation is, no matter where you’re at now, you can have Freedom. It is possible to have Freedom even if your circumstances don’t change. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:17 that where the spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom. True Freedom is found in Jesus. When you trust God with your life, he transforms the way you think. Nobody can take your thoughts away from you. Nobody can decide what you believe. You alone decide if you will wake up every day and have hope and faith.
When you choose faith, you trust that God has a plan for your life; Freedom comes. God can turn death into life. Nothing is impossible for Him when you believe. You do not have to stay enslaved to your circumstances. Is your mind constantly filled with worry, anxiety, and fear? Do you hear different voices in your head? God wants to set you free and to bring peace to your mind. He wants to obtain answers to your questions and solutions to your problems. Believe that things are going to work out for your good. Don’t believe the lie that your situation is hopeless. You do not have to be a slave to your circumstances. Decide to live a life of Freedom today! Choose faith!
