2 Peter 1:3 says, By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.  For years, I chased purpose and destiny believing that it was somewhere out there in the world waiting for me to discover. But this scripture tells me that when we first and foremost, get to know God, he places within us everything we need to live a successful life.
It wasn’t until I started believing this that I discovered my God-given purpose. I stopped chasing every opportunity and open door that looked like it could be from God. I realized that every experience good and bad was all leading to me becoming exactly who God wanted me to be. Don’t be afraid to let go and allow God to lead your life down the course He wants it to go. Even if it looks like a detour or setback, trust that it’s all preparation for where God is taking you. You have everything you need already within you.
